ROANOKE, Virginia – AK Power Solutions, a leader in scalable and rapidly deployable power systems, announced today that its Integrated Power Module (IPM) has been successfully installed and energized at Terawatt Infrastructure’s newly operational EV charging site in Rancho Dominguez, California.

Located just north of the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles, Terawatt’s Rancho Dominguez site supports a growing network of electric drayage and regional trucking fleets with ultra-fast, 7 MW DC fast charging capacity. AK Power Solutions’ Integrated Power Module plays a critical role in delivering reliable, high load capacity power at the site, enabling the chargers to meet the real-time energy demands of medium- and heavy-duty EV fleets.

Designed for speed, flexibility, and scalability, the IPM replaces traditional stick build power solutions by providing an integrated (skid) solution that includes transformer, switchgear, and metering in one factory-assembled unit. This not only shortens project timelines but also reduces onsite complexity, paving the way for faster commissioning and greater reliability.

Terawatt’s Rancho Dominguez hub features 20 pull-through and bobtail DC fast charging stalls and supports daily charging for up to 125 trucks. AK Power Solutions’ technology was selected for its ability to align with Terawatt’s goals of deploying dependable, cost-effective infrastructure to meet the demands of today’s commercial EV fleets.
